The Pinal Geology and Mineral Museum serves both the public at large and the scientific community. In addition to the hundreds of rocks, minerals, and fossils on display, our collection contains numerous geological and paleontological specimens used in education and research. Some of our exhibits are on loan from the Flagg Foundation and new exhibits are under development. Our museum staff which includes Curator and Geologist, Dr. Ray Grant, studies the history, evolution, and diversity of the Earth’s geologic record and shares these new discoveries with our communities through our exhibits, programs, and publications. The Museum is located in the Artisan Village of Coolidge, a center of excellence for the cultural arts. The Pinal Geology and Mineral Museum is one of four projected museums as part of the Copper State Heritage Museum. Come to Coolidge and stay awhile to visit its many museums, events and attractions including the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument.
All of this wouldn't be possible without our incredibly dedicated and talented museum staff and volunteers. They are here to maintain the collection, plan the exhibits, give guided tours and answer all of your questions.
